The fluoropolymer PCTFE (polychlorotrifluoroethylene), often known as Kel-F® or Neoflon®, is a fluoropolymer with exceptional strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability.
Chemical resistance, radiation resistance, and flammability are all outstanding properties of PCTFE. The temperature range for this material is -400°F to 380°F. PCTFE has the lowest coefficient of thermal expansion of any unfilled fluoropolymer and is resistant to cold flow. When dimensional stability is important, these properties make it an ideal choice.
When chemical resistance, a wide working temperature range, and low flammability are required, PCTFE is frequently utilised in aircraft applications. It has a very high resistance to weathering.
