Glass based laminates (also known as SRBGs or synthetic resin bonded glass) are made by mixing glass base materials with a variety of synthetic resins utilising high pressure laminating processes. Glass-based laminates are well-known for their outstanding electrical insulating qualities, but they also have great mechanical strength, excellent chemical resistance, and minimal moisture absorption.
SRBGs are often much denser than their fabric and paper counterparts, resulting in improved temperature stability, reduced smoke emissions, lesser toxicity, and flame retardancy.
Glass-based laminates outperform all other laminate grades in our offering in terms of mechanical qualities. The laminates are roughly 1.8 to 2 g/cm3 because glass fibres are substantially denser than cellulose (cotton or paper). The resin system determines other attributes like flammability, temperature stability, electrical, water absorption, and insulation resistance.

Typically used where elevated temperatures are present. LUL approved (SE970) for Underground use. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G50. Temperature range of up to +200°C (+240°C short term).
Originally developed for the aerospace industry, B34 maintains excellent mechanical strength at high temperatures. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 6G92. Temperature range of up to +200°C (+250°C short term).
A class F laminate with excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, rigidity and machinability Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G42. Temperature range of up to +155°C (+165°C short term).
A flame retardant, self-extinguishing grade with excellent electrical resistance and mechanical strength properties. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G41. Temperature range of up to +130°C (+140°C short term).
B46 is a good all-round laminate with similar properties to G10 grade. It has a modified resin designed to improve machinability. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G40. Temperature range of up to +120°C (+130°C short term).
B48 is similar to B36 but maintains excellent mechanical properties and flexural strength at elevated temperatures. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G44. Temperature range of up to +155°C (+165°C short term).
Fibreglass mat combined with polyester resin binder. GPO3 combines exceptional mechanical strength, excellent ark and track resistance and flame retardancy. Temperature range of up to +120°C.
A general purpose grade similar to B46. G10 is an economical choice where good electrical resistance and strength is required. Alternative to genuine TUFNOL® 10G40. Temperature range of up to +120°C (+130°C short term).
Manufactured from glass or carbon fibres, leaf springs display high dynamic and mechanical strength and excellent resistance to fatigue. Typically used in vibratory feed conveyor applications for metering and weighing.
