Machined to close tolerances according to the customer’s drawing, the breast biopsy unit made of SUSTAPEEK MG offers excellent resistance to all conventional forms of cleaning and sterilisation processes. However, the material also has extremely high dimensional stability, which is vital for the application. SUSTAPEEK is biocompatible according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5. The tests were performed directly on the semi-finished product.
Made of glassfibre-reinforced plastic, Durostone® is permeable for magnetic fields, making it excellently suited for use in magnetic resonance tomography (MRT). Components made of Durostone® include patient beds, coil supports made of coiled rings and spacers machined according to customer drawings.
