Building boards made of calcium silicate called Monolux® and Monolux® MST are reinforced with specific fibres and fillers, resulting in materials with low thermal conductivity and great strength. These high temperature insulating boards may be easily machined to precise tolerances and don’t contain any asbestos or inorganic fibres. Both grades feature low shrinkage and strong stiffness qualities at high temperatures, providing efficient, reliable insulation for demanding applications.
In comparison to Monolux® MST (previously Monolux® 500), Monolux® (formerly Monolux® 800) offers better nominal density and thermal conductivity. In more difficult mechanical applications, Monolux® is frequently utilised as thermal insulation in industrial dryers and platen presses.
Platen press, ovens and dryers, load bearing pipe supports, heat shielding, structural thermal breaks, boiler baffles, flue gas baffles, fire resisting constructions, linings and machined components.
