The synthetic elastomer used to make silicone rubber gaskets has excellent electrical insulating and non-stick qualities. It is a well-liked alternative for gasket and sealing applications since it keeps its flexibility and compression set at both low and high temperatures.
Due to the elastomers high resistance to ozone, weathering, and oxidation, silicone rubber gaskets are frequently utilised in outdoor settings. Specific grades, including 30° blue and red oxide, have received WRAS clearance and can be used with potable water at temperatures up to +85°C. Additionally, we provide a selection of silicone rubber gaskets that adhere to the most recent FDA food contact rules and come in a variety of colours. To help lower the danger of product contamination, we can also provide metal detectable silicone gaskets.
At Petron Thermoplast, we have the capacity to produce gaskets using CNC equipment and can meet specialised or large-scale requirements. Please refer to our detailed instructions on “How to Measure a Gasket” for information on how to measure flange and picture frame gaskets.
Please see Technical Data Sheets below for temperature ratings of other grades.
Also available: 30°, 40° and 50° shore hardness. High temperature, flame retardant, platinum cured and cloth reinforced grades are also available, please enquire. Perforated silicone rubber sheet can also be supplied upon request.
