Fresh, clean water is a precious commodity. The efficient sourcing and treatment of water is vital for our quality of life. Sodium hypochlorite, chlorine and ozone are among the aggressive chemicals used for treatment. Installations must be able to withstand these influences for the long term. We offer plastics that are designed specifically for these requirements: they have a high resistance to chemicals, have the necessary purity for contact with drinking water and are easy to process. You can use them to design safe and long-lasting installations. We offer a complete system comprising of sheets, U and hollow profiles, welding rods and the RITA tank construction programme.
Tanks made of Polystone® G black HD (PE-HD) for industrial water treatment withstand the aggressive chemicals used in the process, thereby enhancing the reliability and safety of the process.
With a colour close to RAL 5015, our Polystone® G blue HD (PE-HD) material is particularly suitable for applications in the drinking water sector. The material meets the physical, chemical requirements of the “KTW- Bewertungsgrundlage” and is suitable for contact with drinking water and meets the requirements of EU Directive 10/2011.
Side walls made of Polystone® M (PE-UHMW) for a purification plant have a long life thanks to their high resistance to wear and outstanding slide friction properties. The material meets the physical, chemical requirements of the “KTW- Bewertungsgrundlage” and meets the requirements of EU Directive 10/2011 for contact with food.
Our highly wear-resistant lifting screws made of Robalon® for sewage treatment plants. are corrosion-free, have a high resistance to acids and alkalis and, depending on the water level, up to 50% higher efficiency than conventional steel lifting screws. The lower weight of Robalon® additionally increases the efficiency. Thus, our Robalo® lifting screws increase the efficient and reliable operation of sewage treatment plants.
Polystone® P CubX® is a tank construction sheet featuring a unique inner cube structure developed for rectangular tanks. The innovative design combines light weight and ease of handling with very high longitudinal and transverse rigidity. Depending on the size of the tank, steel reinforcements can be completely or significantly reduced. The time savings in tank construction is enormous.
Our highly wear-resistant sprockets made of Lamigamid® 312 (PA 6G) are an important part of the raking system in rectangular sedimentation tanks of sewage treatment plants. These innovativesprockets are wear-resistant and easy to install. They are corrosion-free, highly resistant to acids and lyes and are suitable for all standard chain types. The lighter weight and clever design of our Lamigamid® 312 sprockets facilitate installation. The high wear resistance significantly increases the service life. Our sprockets made of Lamigamid® 312 increase the efficient and reliable operation of sewage treatment plants.
Effective purification and aeration of waste water requires a well-defined and safe admixture of oxygen. Our agitator paddles made of Lamigamid® are integrally cast from impact-resistant and wear-resistant PA types. Customer-specific hubs can be included in the casting to ensure the smooth transmission of power. The complex geometries required for optimal mixing can also be cast directly to a large extent – no laborious reworking required.
The performance and service life of materials used for water treatment are influenced by a variety of factors. These factors must be taken into account in order to select the right materials. Examples:
