PPH Air Release Valve
A PPH Air Release Valve is a type of valve made from Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH) that is designed to automatically release trapped air from pipelines and fluid systems. The PPH Air Release Valve helps maintain smooth fluid flow by preventing air pockets that can cause pressure loss, flow disruption, or damage to the piping system. The valve works through an internal float mechanism that detects the presence of air inside the pipeline. When air accumulates, the float drops and the valve opens to release the trapped air. Once the air is expelled and the liquid level rises again, the float closes the valve to prevent leakage.
PPH Air Release Valves are widely used in water treatment plants, chemical processing industries, irrigation systems, and industrial pipelines, where removing trapped air is essential for efficient and safe system operation. In pressurized pipe systems, an automatic air release valve is essential. The purpose of a PPH air release valve, also known as an air relief valve, is to relieve trapped air that collects at each maximum height of a full pressurized tube. As the internal lever system increases the temp force to exceed the internal pressure, an air release valve may open against the internal pressure.

Benefits of Using PPH Air Release Valve
Efficient Removal of Trapped Air
The valve automatically releases trapped air from pipelines, preventing air pockets that can disrupt fluid flow and reduce system efficiency.
Improves Pipeline Performance
By removing accumulated air, the valve helps maintain smooth and continuous fluid flow, improving the overall performance of the piping system.
Excellent Chemical Resistance
Made from Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH), the valve offers strong resistance to corrosive chemicals, acids, and alkalis, making it suitable for chemical processing environments.
Corrosion-Free Material
PPH material does not rust or corrode like metal valves, ensuring long service life even in aggressive industrial conditions.
Automatic Operation
The valve operates automatically using an internal float mechanism, eliminating the need for manual air release.
Lightweight and Easy Installation
Compared to metal valves, PPH valves are lightweight, making them easier to handle, install, and maintain.
Prevents Pipeline Damage
By releasing trapped air, the valve helps reduce the risk of pressure surges, vibrations, and potential damage to pipelines and equipment.
Low Maintenance Requirement
The simple design and corrosion-resistant material result in minimal maintenance and reliable operation.
Energy Efficiency
Proper air removal improves pump efficiency and reduces energy consumption in fluid transport systems.
Suitable for Multiple Industries
Commonly used in water treatment plants, chemical industries, irrigation systems, and industrial piping networks where air removal is essential for system efficiency.
Types of PPH Air Release Valve
Single Orifice PPH Air Release Valve
This type has one air outlet opening that releases small amounts of trapped air from the pipeline during normal system operation. It is commonly used in water supply and irrigation systems.
Double Orifice PPH Air Release Valve
This valve contains two openings (large and small orifice). The large orifice releases a large volume of air during pipeline filling, while the small orifice releases small trapped air during operation. It is widely used in industrial and water treatment pipelines.
Combination PPH Air Release Valve
A combination air valve performs both air release and vacuum relief functions. It removes trapped air during operation and allows air to enter the pipeline when it is drained, preventing pipe collapse.
Threaded End PPH Air Release Valve
This type comes with threaded connections for easy installation and removal in small and medium-sized piping systems.
Flanged End PPH Air Release Valve
The valve is designed with flanged connections, making it suitable for large pipelines and heavy industrial applications where strong and secure connections are required.
