CPVC Diaphragm Valve
A CPVC Diaphragm Valve is a flow control valve made from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) material that uses a flexible diaphragm to regulate, start, or stop the flow of liquids in a piping system. The valve operates by pressing a soft diaphragm against a weir or seat inside the valve body. When the handwheel or actuator is operated, the diaphragm moves up or down to control the flow. A CPVC Diaphragm Valve is a corrosion-resistant plastic valve that controls fluid flow using a flexible diaphragm mechanism.
CPVC Diaphragm Valves are on-off throttle valves that operate in both directions. They are used to regulate the area through which media can enter and exit the valve, thus changing its speed and velocity. The valves are used in pharmaceutical filling systems and have the advantage of having 150 mil life opening and closing times at 3 bar operating pressure. Liquid sampling, biological systems, labs, and other initiatives all use it.
