Types of UPVC Flanged Check Valve

1. Swing Check Valve

  • These designed has a hinged disc that swings waterwhen wated flows forward and closes when the flow reverses.
  • The operation of gravity or backflow closes the disc.
  1. Lift Check Valve
  • Disc moves up and down (axially) on a guide, lifting when flow is forward and seating when flow reverses.
  • Flow pushes the disc up; reverse flow forces it down to seal.
  1. Spring-Loaded Check Valve
  • Uses a spring to keep the disc or plunger seated; forward flow pushes it open.
  • Spring ensures a quick closing even with low backflow.

4. Dual Plate or Wafer Check Valve

  • Two semi-circular plates pivot on a hinge in the centre.
  • Plates open with forward flow and snap shut with reverse flow.

5. Tilting Disc Check Valve

  • Design: Disc tilts on a central pivot to allow flow in one direction.
  • Operation: Forward flow lifts the disc, and reverse flow tilts it closed.
