PVDF Pressure Release Valve Graphics

PVDF Pressure Release Valve

A PVDF Pressure Release Valve (also called a pressure relief valve or safety valve) is a protective device made from Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) that automatically releases excess pressure from a piping system or tank to prevent damage, leakage, or system failure. The PVDF Pressure Release Valve is designed to protect piping systems and sensitive components from overpressure conditions by automatically releasing excess pressure. Constructed from high purity Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), it is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals and UV degradation. This PVDF Pressure Release Valve is ideal for applications in chemical processing, oil & gas treatment, and semiconductor industries where system safety and media purity are critical. The PVDF Pressure Release Valve remains closed under normal operating pressure. When the system pressure exceeds a preset limit, the valve opens automatically. It releases fluid (liquid or gas) to reduce pressure. Once pressure returns to safe levels, the valve closes again.

By Operation Mechanism

TypeDescriptionUse Case
Spring-Loaded Pressure Relief ValveUses a spring to hold the valve closed until system pressure exceeds the set point. Most common: adjustable set pressure for chemical tanks and pipelines
Diaphragm-Operated Pressure Relief ValveUses a flexible diaphragm to sense pressure and open the valve.Suitable for low-pressure or precise release applications
Pilot-Operated Pressure Relief ValveUses a pilot valve to control the main valve opening.High-flow systems or industrial plants needing precise control

By Connection Type

TypeDescriptionUse Case
Threaded (BSP/NPT)Screwed connection; easy to install and removeLow-pressure systems or temporary installations where welding isn’t feasible.
Socket / Solvent WeldPVDF piping welded into valve ends; strong and leak-proofPermanent, high-purity installations (requires specialized heat fusion for PVDF).
Flanged EndsBolted connection; ideal for larger systems or frequent maintenanceIndustrial pipelines where valves must be pulled for service without cutting pipe.
