A variety of high pressure, high performance hoses are produced to meet various strict national and international standards, including fire hoses, layflat hoses, and firefighting hoses. We carry and sell a wide variety, including layflat water and light chemical transfer hoses that are reasonably priced, high-performance WRAS-approved potable water hoses, and fire hoses made to the various standards of BS 6391.
Branch pipes and nozzles, BS 336 instantaneous couplings, hydrant standpipes and extensions, fire hose and hose reel cabinets are additional hardware, fittings, and accessories for our layflat fire hose. Please indicate whether you need more things when you make your inquiry.
All of our fire hoses can be purchased by the metre, in whole coils, or as assembled Layflat fire hoses.
6901 – Light Duty Layflat Fire Hose
Manufactured with a smooth, synthetic, SBR liner and white polyester jacket. It is lightweight, kink resistant, and has external resistance to fuels, oils and chemicals. Meets standard BS 6391 Type 1 (40 bar). Available from 19mm – 152mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -30°C up to +80°C.
6902 – Med. Duty Layflat Fire Hose
A medium duty hose with a coated polyester jacket. The smooth SBR liner prevents friction loss, while the NBR liner provides external oil, chemical and fuel resistance. Meets standard BS 6391 Type 2 (40 bar). Available from 19mm – 152mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -30°C up to +80°C.
6903 – Heavy Duty Layflat Hose
The synthetic textile jacket is encased in a nitrile rubber, providing internal and external oil, fuel and chemical resistance. It also has very high abrasion and kink resistance. Meets standard BS 6391 Type 3. Available from 19mm – 150mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -30°C up to +80°C.
Wholly manufactured from PVC coated polyester. This hose is lightweight, smooth bore, and is suitable for the transfer of water and light chemicals in a wide range of industries. Available from 25mm – 152mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -10°C up to +60°C. Working pressure of 4 bar.
6119 – Yellow PVC Layflat Hose
A slightly heavier duty hose than 6118. The PVC coated, synthetic textile reinforcement is capable of water and light chemical transfer. It is also suited to most irrigation applications. Available from 25mm – 152mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -10°C up to +60°C. Working pressure of 6 bar.
6905 – Rubber Potable Water Hose
The two component lining comprises of a polyester jacket with transparent polyurethane liner. The ribbed NBR coating provides further external resistance to abrasion and oils. WRAS approved for use with potable water. Available from 19mm – 152mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -30°C up to +80°C.
Manufactured from a high tenacity polyester yarn coated in a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The TPU is extremely abrasion resistant and has good resistance to fuels and oils. WRAS approved for use with potable water. Available from 25mm – 305mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -50°C up to +75°C.
6904 – Thermoplastic Fire Hose
A thermoplastic hose, reinforced with braided textile plies. This hose is specifically designed for use with fixed or swinging fire hose reels. Available in 19mm and 25mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -20°C up to +75°C.
The red SBR (styrene-butadiene) cover and black SBR liner are reinforced with high strength braided textile plies. Available in 19mm and 25mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -20°C up to +75°C.
Commonly used for firefighting, wash down and jet spray applications. Many of our stocked and most popular nozzles can be fitted to layflat fire hose using female BS336 instantaneous couplings.
Our range includes instantaneous couplings to BS 336, or international fittings such as Barcelona and Storz. Materials are available including aluminium, brass and gunmetal.
