Fiberglass rovings and thermosetting resin are combined to create GRP grating, a sturdy, load-bearing (at certain thicknesses), one-piece moulded panel. They are a well-liked substitute for galvanised or stainless steel grating due to their relative lightness, resistance to corrosion, extreme durability, and UV stability.
Our GRP grating’s composite construction includes a fire-retardant additive that is accredited to Euro Class 1 and ISO 11925-2 standards (equivalent to ASTM E84 class 1 and BS 476 part 7, class 2). The grated surface offers a high level of slide resistance and has passed BS 7976-2 testing. If necessary, PAR Group also provides an on-site fitting service. Flooring, platforms, walkways, drain covers, assembly lines, trench covers, stairs, ramps, filters and protective fencing.
In situations when grating is installed on flat surfaces, adjustable feet can also be provided to help with drainage. When used with GRP grating that has a mesh pitch of 38 x 38mm, our item 465489 is appropriate (internal mesh of 32 x 32mm). This causes the grating to rise, allowing liquids to drain.
Please see the table displaying the internal mesh dimensions above.
