Viton® rubber sheeting is a high-performance fluoroelastomer that can withstand harsh conditions such as high heat and chemicals. In situations where lesser-specified elastomers swell and break down, Viton® is able to maintain its physical and mechanical features, such as flexibility and fluid resistance. Due to its exceptional resistance to acids, oils, and petroleum-based chemicals, it is a common gasket and seals choice in the automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, and chemical processing industries.Viton® is available in two basic grades: Type A and Type B. Both types have similar qualities and resistances, however, type B has a higher fluorine content (68.5% vs 66%), which gives greater fluid resistance, enhanced flexibility after heat ageing, and sulphur dioxide resistance. As a result, it’s more commonly employed in chemical processing and electricity generation.
