Description
The PTFE tube is resistant to most chemicals and solvents and can operate at both high and low temperatures. It also has a very low coefficient of friction, making it popular in food contact applications. It has strong thermal and electrical characteristics, however, it is not ideal for wear applications and is difficult to bind. It is also resistant to hot water and UV rays.
Applications
Slide bearings, insulators and rollers.
Key Features
- Temperature: -200°C up to +260°C (+260°C short term).
- Very good sliding properties and anti-adhesive.
- Excellent resistance to chemicals and UV.
- Outstanding resistance to low and high temperatures.
- Food approved.
Standards
- Complies with EC No. 1953/2004 and EC No. 10/2011 for plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
- Complies with FDA food regulations 21 CFR 177.1550 and FDA 21 CFR 175.300.
- Provides a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, meaning the polymer will self-extinguish after the removal of flame.

Please note: Larger diameter tubes are available upon request, please enquire.
We can also supply modified TFM PTFE if required. TFM PTFE offers lower deformation under load, lower permeation due to denser polymer structure, better weldability, improved stress recovery, smoother surface finishes and higher transparency. Please note that TFMPTFE may be subject to lead times and availability.
