Description
PVC sheet (polyvinyl chloride) is a low-cost thermoplastic with good rigidity, high mechanical strength, and moderate electrical insulation. It is simple to machine and fabricates using welding and bonding, and it is commonly used in applications requiring resistance to chemicals, wettability, oxidation, and ultraviolet light. Furthermore, because of its UL94 V-0 flammability rating, thermoplastic PVC is impact resistant and self-extinguishing.
PVC sheet provides excellent longevity when used within the stated operating temperature range of 0°C to +60°C. It is a popular suggestion in the water processing, chemical, and construction industries due to its strength and opposition to corrosive substances. On the other hand, polyvinyl chloride is not recommended for abrasion-prone applications, and it can become brittle when exposed to temperatures below freezing. In addition, when compared to other engineering plastics, PVC sheet has a relatively low melting point.
We can convert PVC sheets into a wide range of finished products using in-house CNC machinery. Tank linings, chemical apparatus, plugs, battery separators, and insulators are common PVC components.
PVC sheet is available for purchase online at Direct in various colours, sheet sizes, and thicknesses by clicking the red ‘Buy Online’ button above. Alternatively, don’t hesitate to contact our technical sales team, who will be happy to help with bespoke inquiries.
